My Town

Montserrat mountains.

I was born in a town 60 Km far from Barcelona, called Manresa, about 35 years ago.Here in Manresa we are only about 80,000 people so not comparable to Barcelona city population, definetly.

Near to Manresa there are a very special and unique magic mountains called Montserrat Mountains, so Manresa town have great views.

Santa Maria de manresa : "La Seu"

Santa Maria de Manresa, most known by "La SEU"; a Gothic church where its construction  began in 1325, but until the late fifteenth century the temple was not finished, that's one of the reasons why it is so visited by tourists.

Cova de Sant Ignasi is a church built in 2 different architectural ways, the main part is a baroque part, while a second one has been built in a neoclassical way: this last one is the Old Bridge with Romanesque and Gothic silhouette of the Cathedral, one of the classic images of Manresa's entrance.

On the right side of the photo, you can see "La Cova de Sant Ignasi" which one is together with La Seu, is also one of the most popular touristic places in Manresa.

I could write much more about my town, but I think that you are already getting the idea of where I live ... :P

About me

I'm very passionate about drawing and painting since I was a child, when I spent most of my time drawing while my parents were working in the resteurant they owned  here in Manresa, so yeah, like most kids do, I was placed in front of a bunch of colors and papers, and what started as a distraction , ended being my passion and a everyday need :D

My first draw was Snoopy  (at least the first one that I can remember due to the milion times I repited it over and over again) taken from a book cover that I had when I was a child (around 7years old).

I like to be critical with myself in a way that I believe that I am the worst boss that I ever had, so I consider myself a perfectionist person that is trying to step up,so thanks to that, I have done lot of  progress in my drawing.

I like to look at other people drawings, but I don't really like to replicate styles though I can do it if that's needed for a job. 

My favorites art suplies in a traditional way are  the graphite pencils & inks (because it's what I am used to use always, so I developed some security ), but I can do watercolors, pencilcolors, oils, acrilics, etc: depending of what I want to achieve or depending of my goal.

I am additcted to draw and I'm very critical with myself, so when it comes to drawing and trying to improove,I do it without fear and errors are just a friend to me, because error my friends are really the key to succeed in any matter!If there's no errors to overcome is no

A part of the artistical drawing, I have been working as a draftsman since I did the "superior grade of architectural draftsman" .Those gold years of construction abundancy were something that architects and engineers were looking for in someone to hire for a well paid job. I didn't like to study so much but there was something that compensated mentaly:

 "I will learn 2D CAD and that will help me to step up and have more knowledge to improve my perspective in drawing"

And that's basically how I started to adquire knowledge about 3d modelling, then I just falled in love about 3DStudio Max or Maya seeing all what you can do with these programs.

So I started to learn by myself about 3D stuff that complementary with the knowledge that I adquired in Autocad 2D drawings, ended  improving my drawings and my way to think in a three-dimensionaly way, since now.

Nowadays I am graduated on a superior degree of ilustration and this blog is meant to be a place where I can share my drawings and, in general terms, letting the world to know who I am and what I do ;).

Probably it is too much information for the first entry, so I will end up here!

Finally, I want to thank you ALL of those people who suported me starting with my own family, friends, teachers so on and so forth, on helping me to show up my "passion" wich is obviosuly drawing on the net. I can say I am rather an introverted guy than extroverted, so it has been very, very hard for me to believe in myself and to start to post and show up my work. But now that thoughts are gone so: Hello world ! ;)
